As a volunteer organization, the advancement of our mission is made possible by membership and donations by people interested in the Beothuk people and their history. 

Membership is open and all are welcome to join.  We charge an annual membership fee of $15.00 per person covering the period January 1 to December 31

  • Papers and Reports are available to current Members ONLY.  Fees must be paid in full to access documents.
  • You must be a member to be part of the operations and decision-making of the Beothuk Institute. Fees are due annually and must be current if you wish to serve on the Board of Directors.

Help support the ongoing work of the Beothuk Institute. All proceeds go toward the work of the Institute and special projects that contribute to the advancement of our mission. 

We are a registered charitable organization under the laws of Newfoundland and Labrador.  Donations are tax deductible.

More Information about the Beothuk Institute

The Beothuk Institute dates back to 1827.  It is a non-profit organization re-engineered and provincially incorporated under the laws of the Province of Newfoundland and Labrador.  It is governed by a Constitution and By-Laws which were promulgated in February 2000.
